Creating a Balanced Life

There are times when we need to simplify our lives.  Sometimes we need to clarify our vision so it is easily understood.  Recently I shared a series entitled,“Creating a Balanced Life”.  This series takes TCA’s Vision and turns it into a simple plan for creating balance in our busy lives.

At TCA, our vision is:

To be a loving community where people can…

  • Exalt & Experience God
  • Be Empowered To Serve Others
  • Be Encouraged In Their Spiritual Journey

Creating a Balanced Life simplifies the vision down to just three components.  If we break down our vision, you can easily see it in three components:
  • Worship = Exalt & Experience God
  • Serve = Be Empowered To Serve Others
  • Grow = Be Encouraged In Their Spiritual Journey

To Create a Balanced Life, in the way we were designed by God, we see each person giving at least 90 minutes to each of these three components weekly.

Our passion should be to love God with all of our heart, soul & mind.  Our passion is to worship God.  We were created to worship the Creator.

Our purpose is to know Christ and make Him known.  We get to know Christ through the growth component.  We know Him through growth groups, accountability groups, support groups and through intense systematic study of God’s Word.

Our priorities are set in between the bookends of Passion & Purpose.  When we truly love God with all of our heart, soul and mind and we are making every effort to know Christ and make Him known, suddenly all of the things that matter to Jesus start to matter to us.  We allow the priority of the serve component to dictate the order of our lives.   It is so important to remember that we are saved to serve.  Even Jesus himself said, “For the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45
